About
My research interest is the interaction between primary European law and private law and private international law. I like to explore issues as to what extent rules of national private law are compatible with the free movement of goods, services, persons, capital and persons.
My latest research project concerns the interaction between European contract law and the welfare state.
I teach Dutch contract and tort law and European private law. In the past, I taught also property law and private international law.
